Solution Description:

Capella Space is a U.S. new space company building a constellation of commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) smallsats that collect imagery in most weather and all lighting conditions. We also capture amplitude and phase history data enabling the extraction of highly valuable information, such as land use, material properties, moisture content, elevation, and precise changes and movements, not available with optical imagery. Persistent SAR improves situational awareness and understanding to protect U.S. and ally forces by detecting enemy actions early, so threats can be disrupted, degraded or destroyed before they cause harm. We offer three collection modes, including Spot, Site and Strip, that provide a range of resolution and area coverage options. We offer frequent revisit, of any location on Earth, with the fastest order to delivery timelines available and high quality data. Our advanced analytics perform object identification, change detection, and tip and cue with other systems. We start offering SAR data services in 1QFY21 and plan to have 7 satellites launched within the next 12 months, and then 12 more satellites each year after. Capella Space offers a long sought, but never before achieved, persistent surveillance capability that strengthens U.S. national security and prosperity.
